Terms of Use

Effective Date: May 18, 2026. Please read this agreement before using ScholarIQ.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the ScholarIQ® application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use ScholarIQ. If you are under 18, you represent and warrant that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the application.

3. AI Assistant & Matching Disclaimers

  • Accuracy: While our AI provides customized guidance and analysis, we do not guarantee the accuracy of scholarship details, deadlines, eligibility matrices, or the ultimate success of your applications.
  • Drafting: AI-generated materials (including Statement of Purpose revisions, resume summaries, and outreach drafts) are strictly intended as a drafting aid. You are solely and completely responsible for verifying and finalizing all academic content before submission.
  • No Guarantee: ScholarIQ is a search matching and candidate assistance tool. We do not grant scholarships, represent any scholarship bodies, or guarantee university admissions.

4. Premium Subscriptions

  • Billing: Premium features require an active subscription. All subscription transactions and recurring billings are processed securely via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless auto-renew is manually turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Account Management: You can easily manage your subscription details or disable auto-renew at any time in your App Store or Play Store Account Settings after purchase.
  • Refunds: Refund requests must be handled exclusively through the respective app store platforms (Apple or Google) in strict accordance with their customer refund policies.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Your Content: You retain full, complete, and uncompromised ownership of all essays, CVs, credentials, and documents you upload or generate using our AI-driven assistance.
  • ScholarIQ Content: The application interface design, custom algorithms, proprietary matching logic, workflows, assets, and look-and-feel are the exclusive intellectual property of ScholarIQ and its licensors.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to engage in any prohibited activities on our systems, including:

  • Using the application for any illegal, unauthorized, or deceitful purposes.
  • Attempting to reverse engineer, copy, or disassemble the scholarship matching algorithms.
  • Submitting fraudulent academic credentials or falsified references.
  • Using automated systems, scrapers, or indexers to scrape scholarship databases.

7. Limitation of Liability

ScholarIQ, its creators, and partners shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service or your failure to secure academic admission, visa clearance, or scholarship funding.

8. End-User License Agreement (EULA)

By using the ScholarIQ application, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the software on devices owned or controlled by you, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store Terms of Service.

• Maintenance & Support: ScholarIQ is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the app. Apple and Google have no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services.

• Warranties & Product Claims: ScholarIQ is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple or Google for a refund of the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple and Google will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever.

• Intellectual Property Rights: In the event of any third party claim that the app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, ScholarIQ, not Apple or Google, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

• Third Party Beneficiary: You acknowledge and agree that Apple and Google, and their subsidiaries, are third party beneficiaries of this EULA, and that upon your acceptance of these terms, Apple and Google will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this EULA against you as a third party beneficiary.
